Friday, 12-19-2025 Trail Report

Temperatures in the Mercer area yesterday were above freezing with light occasional drizzle. The trail took a slight hit but overall very little base was lost.  Overnight the area received approximately a little over an inch of wind driven snow.  Skiers today will experience a hardening surface with wind blown snow, some icing and tree litter. Groomers will hold off until after the second round of light snow passes through early tomorrow morning to groom. An update on grooming and conditions will be posted tomorrow morning. Note, all trails have been cleared of trees.
The Homestead Trail wetland crossing is struggling to freeze solid.  Until this crossing becomes more solid, grooming will be limited in this area.  Skiing is possible across the wetland however it is rough.  The west side of Homestead to the intersection of Homestead and Moose will not be groomed routinely until the wetland becomes more solid for grooming equipment to cross.
