Tuesday Trail Report

Yesterday evening the skate lanes were renovated and combed. We are still looking for more snow; however, the skate platform is leveling nicely. Tracks were not re-set, they are holding firmly. Overall, very good conditions.

Sunday Trail Report

MECCA got 4” new snow past 24 hours. Grooming team was out last night resetting tracks and renovating the skate lane. Soft surface will firm up overnight. Very good conditions, best of the season so far.

Friday Groomer Report

Groomers were out tonight renovating the skate lanes. Tracks were set on the Flowage 15k Winterfest loop. Conditions are good to very good with just a few thin spots.

Join us for MECCA’s Candlelight Ski Snowshoe Hike on Saturday, January 25th from 5 to 8pm.

Thursday Trail Report

The Mercer Area received five to six inches of lake-effect snow. Groomers were out last night leveling and combing all 23km of the trail system; cold temperatures set-up the skating platform nicely. This morning tracks are being set. Overall conditions are good to very good. ❄️

MECCA‘S Candlelight Event is this Saturday, January 25th from 5 to 8pm. See you there!

Weekend Trail Update

With the light snow that MECCA has received, conditions continue to improve. Tracks were set today on Wolf, Moose and Osprey and the rest of the trails will be set tomorrow, Sunday. The skate deck was also groomed and is good to very good with some easily avoidable thin spots. Most of which are on the trail that crosses the flowage. B skis still recommended. Enjoy some of the most beautiful trails in the Northwoods.

Groomer Report

With the exception of the “Birch Loop”, all skate lanes were groomed today. The skate deck is firming up nicely and is in good condition. Classic tracks are in fair to good condition and have improved throughout the last week or so.

Groomer Update

Groomers were out today, Monday. Skate deck is firm and fast and tracks are fair. Conditions have improved, even with the thin base. Brave the cold and enjoy the trails!

4” to 5” New Snow!

The Mercer area received about four to five inches of snow last night into the morning with a few flakes still coming down.  Groomers are out leveling, packing, renovating and setting track.  The trails have reverted back to early season conditions, low snow base and not completely level skiing platforms. Trails will be soft for the next couple of days, groomers will renovate and comb the skate lanes and if necessary reset tracks in the up coming days. Enjoy my friends!

Upcoming at MECCA:

Winterfest Update

We regret to announce the cancellation of all live MECCA Winterfest events scheduled for Saturday, January 18. We pride ourselves on offering a well-supported, safe, and enjoyable race for everyone, but unfortunately, the snow conditions will not allow us to continue on January 18.

Virtual Winterfest events will still be available through February 15 and allow skiers to ski the courses on their own schedule and turn in their best time. Registration for Winterfest Virtual events is still available, and all registration fees support the MECCA trail system.
